Chase Young went nuts after Taylor Heinicke scored a crazy diving TD for Washington

On Saturday the Washington Football Team announced that usual starter Alex Smith wouldn’t be able to play, so former third stringer Taylor Heinicke would be the one getting the start in their playoff game against Tampa Bay.

Heinicke wasn’t even in the league to start the year, and considering he had to go up against a surefire Hall of Famer in Tom Brady, things didn’t look too promising for him.

But hoo buddy, look at Heinicke now.

In the third quarter of the game, Washington had the ball on 3rd and 5 in the red zone. Tampa Bay got good pressure on Heinicke, and it appeared that he was all but certainly headed for a sack. Then, somehow, he scrambled out of the pressure, rolled right, then made a full sprint and dive for the pylon — scoring the touchdown and cutting the Bucs’ lead to two.

Watch this play:

No one was happier about Heinicke’s touchdown than Washington’s star rookie, Chase Young, who absolutely lost it when the refs called a touchdown, found Heinicke, and excitedly jumped up and down on him while pointing at the name on the back of his jersey — Young telling America you better learn this man’s name.
