Chase Young seemed to be holding back tears while talking to the media after the 49ers’ Super Bowl loss

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Chase Young had quite a journey to get to the Super Bowl, and you could tell how hard he took the loss after the game while answering questions from the media on Sunday night.

Young started the year with the Washington Commanders before being traded at the NFL Trade Deadline to the 49ers to reunite with his old Ohio State teammate and fellow defensive end Nick Bosa.

The former Commanders pass rusher played well for the 49ers and showed up during the big game, but his team couldn’t get past the Kansas City Chiefs in crunch time to win Super Bowl 58.

It seemed that Young was very emotional after the game (almost to the point of tears), as it had to have hurt to come such a long way only for your team to come up short at the last minute.

Young will be a free agent after the season is over, but we wouldn’t be shocked if he returned to San Francisco to try for another Super Bowl with the 49ers.

It’s clear how much this team means to him and how difficult he is taking the loss. It’s as hard of a thing for an NFL player to go through as any.
