Chase Young remains highest-graded rookie in NFL through 2 weeks

His second act may not have been as loud as the first, but Chase Young still did everything asked of him on Sunday in a 30-15 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

When all was said and done, Young ended up with four tackles, one sack, and two tackles for loss. He is now tied for the NFL lead with 2.5 sacks on the season, and he successfully pulled off something that his predecessor, Nick Bosa, has so far been unable to do, in sacking Kyler Murray.

We were all expecting the game against Arizona to be a much more accurate barometer of where the Washington defense is at this early in the season, and while they were still torched at times by Murray, some positives can definitely be taken away from the performance. Young was solid, and the defensive line had an impact, though Ron Rivera remarked on Monday that he thought they played tentatively. With a less mobile quarterback up next on the schedule in Baker Mayfield, expect for the entire front line to pin their ears back and do everything they can to get after the Browns QB in the backfield.
