Chase Young isn’t even a member of the National Football League yet, but he’s still garnering some attention when it comes to Las Vegas and oddsmakers alike.
With the NFL Draft less than two weeks away, some betting odds for future NFL awards are starting to pop up, with handicaps for MVP, OPOY, DPOY, and ROY awards coming out. For Young, who is expected to be a member of the Washington Redskins, there is already some money being placed on him to win some hardware in his rookie season.
According to BetMGM, Young has been given 50/1 odds to win the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award, meaning that if you were to wager $10 on him to win, you’d see $500 in profits should it happen. Young is also listed as a 3/1 favorite to win the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, which seems much more likely.
He’s yet to take a snap in the NFL, and yet to put on an NFL jersey at that, but he already has the attention of bettors across the nation. If he lands in Washington, as is expected, their odds to win might start to take a jump up as well.
