Chase Young doesn’t plan on taking part in 2020 NFL Combine drills

It appears that the Washington Redskins won’t be able to marvel at their potential first-round pick’s physical attributes at the 2020 NFL Combine, as Ohio State’s Chase Young is not planning to take part in drills, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Young, who is widely believed to be the best player in the draft, has all but secured his draft position in the top three picks when the 2020 NFL Draft rolls around in April.

While Young won’t take injury risk that comes with working out on the NFL’s biggest stage for incoming players, he will still meet with the media and go through medical exams to assure prospective teams — ie. the Redskins — are able to kick the tires on him before heaping a bunch of trust on his shoulders. Though we won’t be able to see what he can do on the field, it will still be very interesting to see how Young carries himself off of it.
