Chase & Status, Faithless and more announced for weekend-long rave at Butlin's near Bristol

When you think of Butlin's you probably picture waterslides, fairground rides and hundreds of kids running around having the time of their lives.

The family resort probably doesn't conjure up images of huge raves headlined by some of the biggest DJs around - but for a weekend next month that will be the case.

Between December 6-9, Butlin's Minehead will welcome the likes of Chase & Status, Faithless, Danny Howard, Eddie Halliwell and other dance music giants for the annual Cream Weekender, which is now a solid fixture in the winter clubbing calendar for many.

Also on the billing is Cream Classical - a 50-piece orchestra performing some of the biggest tracks from Cream’s iconic dancefloor - which will be making its debut at the event.

Alongside the musical lineup, ticket-holders can also enjoy daytime pool parties and everything else Butlin's has to offer such as fairground rides, plenty of food options and of course a decent number of bars, all combining to serve up the perfect pre-Christmas party.

A Cream spokesperson said: "Much as in previous years, the weekender is a multi-room showcase of everything that makes the UK and indeed Cream a leading force in dance music.

"Some massive names who’ve been a solid presence on Cream billings, from Creamfields to Nation and beyond, are set to join the fray.

"It’s a varied and forward-thinking lineup, with headliners including Chase & Status (DJ set), Faithless (DJ set) and Roger Sanchez.

"The three-day event is a prime example of Butlins' highly successful move into hosting clubbing weekenders, an experiment that has certainly paid off."

Revellers can also enjoy everything else Butlin's has to offer including daytime pool parties (Birmingham Mail)
