Chase Edmonds sometimes forgets Kyler Murray is a rookie

Arizona Cardinals rookie quarterback Kyler Murray has been impressive so far through six games. He has orchestrated an 18-point comeback. He has led a game-winning drive. He has completed a ton of passes and thrown for a lot of yards. So far, he looks like he could be a star.

His teammates notice it.

“I tell people he is special,” said running back Chase Edmonds on The Jim Rome Show. “He’s going to be special.”

Edmonds, who is only in his second NFL season, sometimes can’t believe what he sees from Murray.

“Sometimes, watching Kyler play, you forget he’s a rookie,” Edmonds said. “He’s really taking command of the offense. He’s getting better with his decision making with the football.”

Edmonds echoes the comments coach Kliff Kingsbury has said about Murray making good decisions about not forcing things, and he is wowed by some of the plays Murray makes.

It looks like Edmonds is seeing what fans see. It’s hard to get excited about the future with Murray leading the way.
