Chart of the day: You're probably not afraid of Australia's deadliest animals

Horses and cows are more deadly than sharks, snakes and bee stings combined.

Mosquitoes kill more than 700,000 people worldwide every year.

Snakes are second on the list, killing about 110,000 people.

But although Australia is famed for having some of the most dangerous animals in the world, statistically speaking you're pretty unlikely to be killed by an animal here.

And although we've got the world's most venomous species of land snake, snakes are well down the list of likely culprits.

In fact, if you're really worried about dangerous animals in Australia, your best bet is to give horse riding a miss.

Humans aren't included here, but definitely avoid them too.
