You might think spending around $200 million on yet another Jurassic World movie is risky business, but for studios it's a no-brainer.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which comes out today, is the latest in the Hollywood norm of big budget sequels and adaptations.
Out of the top grossing 100 movies, only 15 are original titles.
But if movie executives are looking for return on investment, the best performers by a wide margin are the smaller-budget original titles of decades past.
