Australia has spoken — golf is widely regarded as the most boring sport to watch, beating out cycling and boxing.
Tennis, on the other hand, is the sport most seen as exciting to watch, an Essential poll found in January.
Remarkably, in a country that regards itself as sports mad, every sport except tennis, swimming and AFL was rated "boring to watch" by more people than said they were "exciting to watch".
