Charming Edinburgh cottage on grounds of a 19th century mansion hits the market

A ‘rare opportunity’ to buy a two bedroom cottage in Edinburgh has appeared online.

The two bedroom home sits on the grounds of Southfield House, a 19th century mansion which was once a tuberculosis ward. The communal grounds include a forest and stream, in the highly-sought after Liberton area.

Built in 1875, the house was ‘tastefully’ converted in 2001. It boasts period features, ‘well-sized’ bedrooms and a floored loft.
