PM Modi’s fans, JEE Main 2017 toppers in Dehradun want to help him build India

Shristi Dabola, who along with Nitin More, has topped the score in the state capital Dehradun with 266 marks out of 360.

Influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s charismatic style and determination to develop the country, some of the toppers of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main in Uttarakhand want to join him in building the future of India.

The topper in Dehradun is Ayush Kaushal with 292 marks. Others, Shristi Dabola and Nitin More scored 266 marks out of 360. Both dropped a year and prepared for the entrance exam which is the gateway to the prestigious engineering institutions of the country including Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

“My objective isn’t only to get through IIT but to crack civil services and work for the nation. I am extremely influenced with our PM and I wish to join him someday and work towards the development of the country,” Shristi told Hindustan Times.

She passed 12th from Brightland School in 2016 and for a year took up coaching to crack the exam. Her father works in the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) and her mother is a homemaker. She has a younger brother.

Nitin More, who lost his brother in an accident, wishes to fulfil his brother’s dreams by pursing engineering. He passed out from Scholar Academy in Roorkee and prepared for the exam. “I wish to fulfil my brother’s dream. He too wished to become an engineer,” he said.

Another fan of Modi, More aims to crack the civil services so he can the support the country’s development. “Our education is worth if we could support our country through our talent,” he said.

Ankit Jain who comes from a poor family scored 251. His brother runs a tea stall. “I come from a humble background. My brother has worked tirelessly for my education. My score and career would be my tribute to his hard work,” he said.

Over 10 lakh aspirants in the country appeared for the JEE Mains out of which only 2.20 lakh qualified for the JEE Advanced examination to be held next month.
