Charlton set to hijack Sunderland's Viv Solomon-Otabor deal

Charlton Athletic look set to try to hijack Sunderland's bid for Viv Solomon-Otabor.

The 25-year-old winger has reportedly turned down new terms with Wigan Athletic and looks set to leave the DW this summer.

The Black Cats are in pole position to land the former Blackpool and Portsmouth star according to the latest reports, but will face competition from the Addicks.

Charlton have reportedly missed out on a move for Gillingham talisman Jordan Graham, who looks set to sign for Championship side Birmingham City.

The Addicks had long tracked the out of contract Gills man, and made him one of their top targets this summer.

However, Nigel Adkins' attention has now turned to Solomon-Otabor according to LondonNewsOnline.

Charlton tried to sign the winger in January but he turned down a move to the Valley and played out the remainder of his contract with the Latics.

Lee Johnson's side are still waiting to make their first breakthrough in the transfer market and await a response from their out of contract quartet.

Aiden McGeady and Luke O'Nien have been tipped to stay at the club this summer, while Charlie Wyke looks set to join Scottish giants Celtic.

There's been little news regarding Denver Hume's future on Wearside, but there's been plenty interest in the full-back with Neil Warnock keen on the young defender.
