Charlton wrapped up a double swoop for West Brom duo Sam Field and Jonathan Leko at the start of a frantic final day of business at The Valley.
Lee Bowyer re-signed West Ham midfielder Josh Cullen on loan on Wednesday night and the Addicks were targeting a further three new arrivals before the 5pm BST deadline.
Field and Leko were in south London on Thursday morning to finalise loan switches.
Field is a 21-year-old midfielder and Leko is a 20-year-old forward who Bowyer hopes will add goals and pace to Charlton to boost their bid to stay in the Championship.
Bowyer said: “I am excited to work with Jonathan because he has a bit of everything. He has definitely something we have not got here.
"He is going to be exciting to watch. When I have watched him, he got me excited and he had me on the edge of the chair.
“Sam is a very good player with Premier League experience. He is young, wants to learn and he works hard.”
