Joey Barton’s Bristol Rovers travel to managerless Charlton Athletic on Tuesday in hope of securing valuable points in their bid for League One survival.

Kick-off time

Both sides have agreed to a slightly earlier kick-off of 7pm this evening, which has become the new normal since the pandemic with games played behind closed doors.

What Joey Barton said

The Rovers boss expects a tough game against a side chasing the play-offs, but he believes Charlton are beatable,

He said: "We’re going to have to earn it and put on as much of a top-level performance as we can because when you go to those promotion-chasing sides you’ve got to be on it, as we found out at Hull.

"But, I think with where the group is at we’ve got to expect to challenge them. There’s no fear attached to Charlton for us, we’ve got 12 cup finals to come and I think if you play not to lose, you tend to lose."
