What’s Going To Happen
4-5 Charlotte has two relative layups to go with UTEP this week and Old Dominion, but both games are on the road – the home game is against Marshall.
The 49ers have the rushing offense that’s been able to take over games, they’re controlling the clock, and they’re doing a wonderful job defensively getting into the backfield.
There’s just enough of a downfield passing game, too, with QB Chris Reynolds turning in a terrific season behind a great offensive line. RB Benny LeMay was out last week against Middle Tennessee, and Aaron McAllister ran for over 100 yards.
The O will still work against UTEP’s defense, too.
The Miners aren’t playing a lick of defense over most of the year, but particularly over the last few weeks. They can’t come up with a third down stop, they can’t get behind the line, and they’re about to get run over again. The offense is good enough to put a few points on the board – the 49er defense – isn’t anything special.
It’ll be a wee bit of a battle for a while, but the Charlotte offense will keep the scoring punch coming.
