Piers Morgan opened Good Morning Britain with a rude dig at co-star Charlotte Hawkins which she unsurprisingly didn't appreciate it too much.
Charlotte, 45, presented the news segment ahead of Piers and Susanna Reid's appearance on the programme.
But as Piers, 55, addressed GMB viewers, he announced that it was time for the "real part" of the show.
Charlotte was not impressed and immediately hit back at Piers.
He had said: "Well Good Morning Britain, it's time for the real part of the programme.
A stunned Charlotte responded: "What?! The news is the real part of the programme!"
Susanna mimicked her comments and Piers grinned, saying: "That was a great little nibble, that one. Put the rod in and bang they came, like little angry fish - 'What, what, what?'"
"You've enjoyed your lie-in, you can actually start some work now," Charlotte told him pointedly.
But Piers didn't leave it there and later spoke about he and Susanna would be on from 6am to cover the US election results tomorrow.
He said: "We'll start the real show at 6 tomorrow..."
As Charlotte threw him an unimpressed look, he exclaimed: "She's going to blow!"
