Charlotte Hawkins dons sparkling gown from living room for Pride of Britain Awards

Charlotte Hawkins has refused to let the coronavirus dim her Pride of Britain Awards experience.

Although the awards ceremony is a very different spectacle this year, it didn’t stop host the Good Morning Britain host from pulling out all the stops.

Taking to her Instagram account on Sunday evening, the 45-year-old TV star proved that she’s a true style icon as she sizzled in a stunning gown.

Despite the fact that she couldn’t strut her stuff on the famous red carpet, Charlotte couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get all dolled up for the special occasion.

The blonde bombshell wowed in a flowing silver gown which did wonders to accentuate her age-defying physique.

Charlotte wore her gorgeous golden locks in sleek waves which cascaded down past her bronzed shoulders.

Perched on her garden bench, the TV star held up a British flag and a Pride of Britain mug in support of the prestigious ceremony.

“A good excuse to get dressed up at home, helping to celebrate the amazing @prideofbritain award winners! Tonight at 9pm on @itv " she penned alongside the striking snap.

Elsewhere, Charlotte posted a sweet video of herself eagerly awaiting the show from her living room sofa.

The Good Morning Britain host joked that she had the tissues on standby due to the fact she knew she would be overcome with emotion by the time the ceremony airs.

“I’ve got the tissues on standby as I know it’s going to be an emotional one.

“I’ve got the glass of fizz to toast our amazing winners this evening.

“I’m getting ready to celebrate our hero’s!”.

Due to COVID restrictions the ceremony - which airs on ITV at 9pm tonight - will be held virtually.

Winners will have their awards delivered to them instead of attending a ceremony in person.

The Pride of Britain ceremony celebrates the most remarkable achievements by British people who make the world a better place.

The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, will be broadcast tonight at 9pm on ITV.
