Charlotte Dujardin won bronze in the individual dressage event at the Tokyo Olympics to become the most decorated British female Olympian of all time with six medals.
After helping Team GB to a bronze in the team event earlier this week to go level with rowing legend Katherine Grainger and tennis and badminton player Kathleen McKane Godfree, Dujardin now holds the accolade outright following a sensational performance in the Japanese capital.
Dujardin, 36, wore a huge smile while riding horse Gio after her performance, and bronze was confirmed after Germany's Dorothee Schneider's score was not enough to dislodge her from third place.
It's Dujardin's sixth Olympic medal - adding to the two golds she won at London 2012, her silver and gold in Rio in 2016 and the bronze in the team event in Tokyo - but does end her nine-year reign as Olympic individual dressage champion.
All Dujardin's previous Olympic medals before the Tokyo Games came on legendary horse Valegro, but she is now riding Gio.
The gold medal went to Germany's Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with TSF Dalera on 91.732 per cent, ahead of fellow German and silver medallist Isabell Werth, riding Bella Rose 2, on 89.657 per cent.
Dujardin posted 88.543 per cent after a display that almost defied logic, given how little Gio had done in terms of his career at the sport's elite level.
Dujardin also won Tokyo team bronze with Carl Hester and Charlotte Fry, with Hester and En Vogue finishing eighth individually, and Fry on Everdale in 13th.
