Charlotte Crosby was forced to throw a sex toy away by security at airport

Charlotte Crosby has finally revealed exactly what happened when she was caught with a sex toy by airport security in Dubai.

The Geordie Shore star was forced to throw the vibrator away as they are prohibited from the United Arab Emirates.

Charlotte, 31, who has a new fitness platform out called Blitz n Burn said she had no idea that she had packed the little toy.

Branding the moment as "embarrassing", the reality TV favourite told the Daily Star : "I didn't even realise - I wasn't taking anything out there intentionally. I was really last-minute packing.

"I didn't realise there was a small sex toy in the bottom of the bag and then when we landed and put our bags through security, they pulled us through to one side and said 'do you have a sex toy in the bag?'"

She said that she told the security guard that she "didn't think" there was anything untoward in her suitcase but was quickly corrected by the guard who pointed to the toy.

Mortified, she said: "I saw it and was like 'oh god, oh god'.

Describing the moment, she said: "Then there was this awkward silence of everyone staring at each other and more security came and they let us go and I disposed of the toy."

She said that there wasn't any chatting from the guards, adding that "no one spoke for at least five minutes".

The reality star said she was eventually allowed to go through so long as she disposed of the toy.

Charlotte said: "I didn't get rid of it until I got to the hotel and then I disposed of it in the bin. It was just like this small little bullet kind of thing."

After her fitness DVD was such a hit, Charlotte has now launched her own fitness app with a 28-day meal plan and workouts.

She said: "We've only just launched it and we are doing more filming at the end of the month. So, if you loved the DVD then you're going to love the app. The DVD was just one workout on one DVD that people watched over and over again - this has so much more variety."

The star was in tears after she was forced to isolate on New Year's Eve after she tested positive for Covid.

She took to Instagram to share a photo of her positive lateral flow test and wrote: "The inevitable has happened. NYE at home with a Lemsip for me! My dry January started early!"

Although it wasn't all bad for the Celebrity Big Brother winner as she was able to watch the fireworks from her house at midnight.
