Charlotte Crosby vows to never 'turn her back' on Geordie Shore as she returns to show

Charlotte Crosby has vowed never to turn her back on Geordie Shore as she reflects on the 'very hard' decision to quit the show five years ago.

Sunderland lass Charlotte was one of the original Geordie Shore cast members when the MTV programme made its much talked about debut 10 years ago.

She joined the likes of Vicky Pattison and Gaz Beadle in the first Geordie Shore house in Jesmond as the show launched in 2011 and quickly established herself as a huge favourite with viewers.

Two years after finding fame on MTV, Charlotte successfully switched channels to win Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother in the summer of 2013, during a break in Geordie Shore filming.

After a on/off on-screen relationship since day one of the show, it looked like Charlotte and Gaz had finally found happiness after getting together at the end of 2015, but just a few months later everything changed.

While Gaz was off in Thailand filming Ex on the Beach and sleeping with other girls, Charlotte suffered a terrifying ectopic pregnancy back at home which left her 'on the verge of dying.'

The fallout from the harrowing experience led to Charlotte taking the shock decision to quit Geordie Shore off camera.

Revealing her departure to fans, the now 30-year-old tweeted: "Sadly because a certain some1 can’t admit to being in the wrong and have to write a short story full of excuses.

"I have made the very hard decision to Leave the show, it’s something I have went back and forth with for a while now. But I am willing to sacrifice that part of my career in order to be well away from a liar and a cheat."

Since leaving Geordie Shore, Charlotte has tasted success with her own MTV series, The Charlotte Show, but is now firmly back in the Geordie Shore fold for nostalgic spin-off Ten Years On The Toon.

Charlotte starred in both episodes of the show, alongside James Tindale, Nathan Henry and Chloe Ferry and in Tuesday night's show she opened up to Nathan and Chloe how hard it was to walk away without getting to say goodbye to the house and her castmates.

She told them: "It was very, very hard.

"Geordie Shore was my life and I still hold so many fond memories.

"That's why I'll always say I'll go back for a reunion...always, always, always.

"...'cause I'll never turn my back on it. It's the best years of my life. "

While Charlotte has spoken about being well up for a full reunion, fellow original Vicky Pattison has ruled out a return to the show.

After being sent some Geordie Shore cupcakes from MTV to mark its 10th birthday, she took to her Instagram story to say: "I'm not going back. I said before. You know what, who'll even miss me anyway?

"I'm so old and boring now. I'd probably just sit in a corner and try to talk to everybody about stamp duty!"
