Charlotte Crosby reveals what her mam wanted her to do instead of going on on Geordie Shore

Charlotte Crosby has revealed her mam Letitia was not keen at all on her being on Geordie Shore.

Sunderland lass Charlotte was one of the original stars of the hit MTV show back when it made its explosive debut in the spring of 2011, joining the likes of Vicky Pattison, Gaz Beadle and Holly Hagan in the cast.

Gaz, Holly and other big names from the show's nine year history, including Sophie Kasaei, Chloe Ferry and James Tindale, have been on screen over the past few weeks to star in spin-off series Their Story.

The new programme sees Geordie Shore stars talk about their time both on and off the show and how they came to be on it and Charlotte is the subject of the final episode which will air this coming Tuesday.

And a teaser put out on the Geordie Shore Facebook page sees the now 30-year-old, who was at college before shooting to TV fame, recalling how her mam really didn't want her to be on the show.

She says: "The day I walked into the camera and said 'Mam, I've got to quit the Access course, I'm going on Geordie Shore....oh I wish I took a picture of her face...it was hilarious!

"It was so funny, she was like 'No! No, you can't do that! You're in college, you just sort it out, you've nearly done your Access course, you're gonna get into uni Charlotte, you can't! You can't do that!"

"You can't go on some stupid TV show. I don't want you too, you can't do it."

Letitia admits: "She wouldn't have it!" and Charlotte adds: "I said 'I'll pick my Access course up after...I promise" before joking: "I'm still waiting to do that Access course!"

Prior to becoming a TV star on Geordie Shore, Charlotte also worked in Sunderland city centre bar Ttonic and had a night out on home turf on Wednesday for her 'last supper' with former co-star Sophie before bars closed as England went into lockdown.

Geordie Shore: Charlotte's Story will air on MTV on Tuesday, November 10 at 10pm.
