Charlotte Crosby hits back as fans voice concern over snaps with baby in cold weather

Charlotte Crosby has been blasted by fans after they accused her of taking her baby daughter to a football match without a coat.

Given the current extreme drop in temperature in the UK, eagle-eyed fans became instantly concerned when they spotted the Geordie Shore star's little one without any outerwear on in her most recent Instagram offering.

Reality TV icon Charlotte, 32, who welcomed daughter Alba Jean with boyfriend Jake Ankers in October, headed to Etihad Stadium in Manchester to watch Manchester City Vs. Tottenham Hotspur last week - but after sharing some snippets from the family's fun day out, Charlotte was bombarded with negative comments.

After attending the football match, the excited new mum documented the memory on Instagram for her 8.4 million followers to enjoy, but she was soon hit with criticism from mum-shamers who blasted Charlotte for not putting a coat on baby Alba Jean.

"ALBAS FIRST FOOTBALL GAME," Charlotte penned as she cut a casual figure in black leggings and a sweatshirt while Alba was dressed in a blue Manchester City baby grow.

Commenting on baby Alba's ensemble, several fans flocked to the comments to complain that the three-month-old tot was probably 'shivering' in just a baby grow.

"Am I the only one thinking of the fact that the weather is on minus (stadiums are windy too) and baby is cold and would catch a cold dress like that? - not criticising just a thought. You guys look cute," one person said.

"Alba is probably shivering in that! Where is her coat? Omg," another echoed.

A third concerned follower commented: "Should Alba be wearing earphones at such a loud match? I’m sure her little ears are sensitive to such noise and crowds. Just a genuine question. Very cute."

"Charlotte is a new mum and still learning I know, but is it not common sense to keep a newborn baby in several layers while outdoors? Poor baby is just in a sleep suit," someone else complained.

However, Charlotte was quick to reply to the complaints as she set the record straight on any worries about Alba being out in the cold.

Following the onslaught of complaints, Charlotte explained in the comments: "For anyone worrying, Alba had her little snow suit on when she was out outside for longer then 5 mins. She only went outside twice the whole time we were there and the rest of the time we were in a box which was RED HOT.

"I wouldn’t in any situation let my little girl freeze to death, rest assured".

Charlotte welcomed her first child with beau Jake in October 2022 after first revealing she was pregnant in April.

Announcing Alba Jean's arrival at the time, Charlotte told her followers: "Alba Jean Ankers 14.10.22. Our hearts are so full my baby girl you have shown us a whole new meaning to life. Your perfect in absolutely every way!

"Mammy and Daddy are so so so lucky to call you our little girl you are loved so much more than you will ever know".
