Charlotte Crosby fans devastated as MTV cancel Reality Con due to coronavirus

MTV have been forced to cancel the first Reality Con over coronavirus fears.

The immersive three day event was set to give fans the chance to meet some of the stars from their best loved shows this May, but all nine shows have been shut down over coronavirus fears.

Celebs including Charlotte Crosby and Joey Essex were scheduled to attend along with famous faces from the Channel's hit shows including  Geordie Shore and Ex On The Beach.

Despite the hype around the upcoming weekend, event organisers have now decided to pull the plug as coronavirus concerns continue to in the UK.

Tickets are now no longer to buy and the event is listed as 'postponed.'

A spokeswoman for MTV said: "Due to concerns around the coronavirus (Covid-19), ViacomCBS Networks UK has taken the decision to postpone MTV Reality Con as a precautionary measure until 2021."

An insider also told The Sun that MTV didn't want to take any chances when it comes to the deadly virus, and would rather be 'safe than sorry'.

Fans took to Twitter to share their dismay claiming that they were devastated by the disappointing news.

"So sad" wrote one unimpressed fan while another wrote "Bloody coronavirus ruining everything".

Other celebs listed on the line-up include Geordie Shore's Nathan Henry, Chloe Ferry and Love Island's Alex and Olivia Bowen.

The exciting three-day-event was set to give fans the opportunity to visit some of their favourite reality TV sets from the Geordie Shore's notorious 'shag pad' to the Just Tattoo Of Us parlour.

The disappointing news comes after Charlotte Crosby was trolled by fans for donning a customised  coronavirus  mask on a friend's hen do.

The reality star has jetted off with a group of pals - including ex Geordie Shore's Sophie Kasaei - to Bali, where they were pictured wearing the face covers in a nightclub.

Charlotte, 29, and her glamorous friends opted to have black masks personalised with the words 'Bali b*****' emblazoned on them for their jaunt abroad.

The girls were seen posing up on a table filled with empty bottles and glasses of booze as they showed off the accessories.
