Charlotte Crosby exposes Vera 'secrets' during Geordie Shore filming in Newcastle

Charlotte Crosby exposed 'secrets' from the Vera set as she took a break from filming Geordie Shore on Tuesday.

Charlotte was one of the original cast members on the MTV show when it launched back in 2011. She left the show in between series in 2016 but , a few months ago, it was confirmed that she was making a shock return, to play a pivotal role in the delayed reunion.

Geordie Shore actually turned 10 last year, but the Covid pandemic thwarted producers' plans to host past and present stars on a trip overseas. However, with restrictions long since gone, Charlotte and other originals like Sophie Kasaei, James Tindale and Holly Hagan have been filming both in Newcastle and abroad on the new episodes, with a holiday to Portugal and a trip to Ibiza for Holly's wedding, as MTV cameras captured her marriage to footballer Jacob Blyth.

The bulk of filming on the Geordie Shore reunion has been done now, but cast members have been back at the programme's famous party house in Walker to record bits to camera. And it was when filming her green screen segments that Charlotte, who is set to document her pregnancy on the show, took her millions of Instagram followers on a tour of the grounds.

And something many fans of Vera might not realise is that some sets from the long-running ITV drama are right next door to the Geordie Shore house. Charlotte filmed herself walking around the outside of the set, saying: "For anyone who watches Vera, this is where they film Vera look!"

She then added: "Right opposite and I think they hate us!"

Vera fans will know that the fictional ;police force in the show is called Northumberland Police and Charlotte panned her phone round so people could see the outside of the mocked up station

Filming on the new series has been going on at the same time as Geordie Shore, with leading lady Brenda Blethyn and co-stars Kenny Doughty recently spotted looking tense while shooting scenes in a café in Wallsend.
