The real reason for the end of Charlotte Crosby, 29, and 25-year-old Joshua Ritchie's two-year romance has been revealed.
Their split came as a shock to fans after the Geordie Shore beauty recently moved from Newcastle to Bolton to be with Josh.
Despite her making the move, and leaving her family behind, Josh was not 'ready to settle down' which led to them going their separate ways.
A pal of the MTV star's detailed to New! magazine: "For a while Charlotte has wanted to get married and have kids, but Josh, being younger, doesn’t have any interest in settling down.
"They both want completely different things because they’re at different stages in their lives.”
"That's what she really wants," the insider continued, "but Josh was adamant he isn't ready."
They also shared that Charlotte felt pressured to grow-up and have children - after seeing some of her Geordie Shore alumni such Marnie Simpson and ex Gaz Beadle finding partners and welcoming little ones.
It comes after Charlotte announced the news on her Instagram stories by sharing a single text post.
She admitted that the two year relationship she'd shared with the Love Island hunk had "broken down" and she hoped they could "remain civil" after calling it a day.
Charlotte wrote: "Me and Josh have decided to part ways. Sadly the relationship seems to have broken drown.
"Hoping we can still remain civil and wish him the best for the future."
Instead of nursing his broken heart on the sofa with a tub of ice cream, Love Island star Josh wasted no time in getting out and about as he hit Liv nightclub in Manchester days after the split.
Josh openly promoted his night on the tiles on social media by uploading stories onto his Instagram account that showed him dancing in the night time venue post break-up.
The handsome lad happily sang into his camera phone in the footage and showed off the bottles of booze available to him on his VIP table in the club.
