Charlotte Church introduces her new baby daughter to fans during podcast

Charlotte Church has confirmed she has given birth to a baby girl during lockdown.

The Welsh singer showed off her daughter for the first time during a Sink The Pink Pop Tart podcast.

Charlotte, 34, said: "I would love to introduce you to my little baby. Covid realness honey." The name of her daughter is not known.

The 34-year-old revealed she was expecting her third child just before the national lockdown in March last year.

In a low-key tweet about the Valley Aid concert held for Welsh flood victims last year she said he was "gutted" to have missed the event, adding: "I'm preggers so I'm airing (sic) on the side of caution in terms of virus."

No announcement was made about the baby's birth, but proud mum Charlotte showed her off for the camera during the podcast earlier this week.

Charlotte already has two children - Ruby, 13, and Dexter, 12 - with her former partner, Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson.

Charlotte married her long-term musician partner Jonathan Powell in a secret ceremony in Cardiff in October 2017 three months after she announced she had tragically lost the baby they were expecting.

During the latest chat, Charlotte spoke about wanting to offer children an alternative to schooling and about how she was treated as a young singer.

She said: "There was a countdown to me losing my virginity. The Sun had done a countdown then Chris Moyles talked about it on Radio One. It was all a bit gross really.

"We’ve come a certain way but there’s a long way to go in terms of feminism and equality but there’s bigots everywhere and hopefully we can heal them all. Maybe some of them will just have to die out."

On Wednesday, Charlotte was on This Morning talking from her home when Holly, 40, first revealed the news.

The presenter said: "You've got the three kids now. How is home schooling?', as Charlotte replied: 'I've been homeschooling my own children now for a few years now."
