Charlie’s Angels star Jaclyn Smith issues four-word reason for her youthful appearance at age 80

Jaclyn Smith is sharing the secret behind her youthful looks at age 80.

When the Charlie’s Angels star was asked about her beauty tips at the Paley Honors Spring Gala in New York City, she was ready to give away the reason for her effortless glow.

“Clean living, being loved,” the TV icon told Fox News Digital.

She continued: “I have the best family in the whole wide world to grow up with. Great husband, two beautiful children, three granddaughters. So, it doesn't get better than that. It's all about love, all about family with me."

Smith has been married to her fourth husband, surgeon Brad Allen, since 1997.

On-screen, Smith played Kelly Garrett on Charlie’s Angels from 1976 until the series’ end in 1981, making her the only Angel to appear in all five seasons of the show.

The legendary series, which centered around undercover female detectives, celebrated its 50th anniversary by reuniting Smith with former co-stars Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd on the Paley Honors Spring Gala’s red carpet May 14.

“Hello from The Paley Honors gala in New York! What a treat to celebrate again with my friends from the Paley Center,” Smith wrote on Instagram after the event.

“Kate and I were so lucky to attend and accept this on behalf of our Charlie’s Angels family, continuing in our celebration of 50 years since the launch of the series. Grateful doesn’t begin to encompass how I feel to have been and continue to be a part of that legacy.”

Jackson, for her part, said at the gala that the series’ staying power has continued to impress her over the decades.

“Oh, it's wonderful,” she said. “I mean, that we would be here 50 years later, 50 years after the debut, and it's still on television all over the world, never has gone off. It's just really amazing.”

The original ABC crime drama originally starred Smith, Jackson and Farah Fawcett as its three private investigators who left the police academy to work for their mysterious boss.

Charlie’s Angels went on to become a pop culture staple and inspired the 2000s film franchise, which starred Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu.

Smith told Fox News Digital that she did not expect the series to make her one of TV’s most recognizable stars as a style icon.

“When I was starting out, no,” she said. “But I guess we did pave the way for some glamor and looking at women in a different way. We sort of paved that way for new roles for women.”
