Charlie Sheen to make TV comeback with the help of Anger Management

Charlie Sheen, sacked from hit comedy Two and a Half Men in March over his erratic behaviour, will return to US TV next year with new sitcom Anger Management.

FX, the News Corporation-owned cable channel, has ordered a 10-episode series for summer 2012.

The channel, which already broadcasts repeats of Two and a Half Men, has also signed up to the unusually large commitment of a further 90 episodes of Anger Management provided the first series meets certain ratings targets.

In the comedy Sheen will take on the role played by Jack Nicholson in the 2003 movie Anger Management. Nicholson played a therapist with anger issues of his own.
