- Charlie Sheen's new memoir, The Book of Sheen, details his past struggles with addiction.
- In the book, Sheen recalled attending a private men's addiction group hosted by the late Friends actor Matthew Perry.
- He wrote: “Matt and I shared a deeper truth we saw in each other – we were both, as Bobby Dee Jay used to say, ‘veterans of the unspeakable.’”
- Sheen also said he was fascinated by Perry’s “ability to turn every frown upside down” and he’d “never met anyone who more masterfully used humor as a deflector-shield.”
- The Two and a Half Men star also expressed a desire to reconcile with his former co-star Jon Cryer, from whom he was estranged after his firing from the show.
