Charlie Noxon death: Orange Is The New Black creator Jenji Kohan's son dies in skiing fall

Charlie Noxon is believed to have been injured during a fall on New Year's Eve

Orange Is The New Black creator Jenji Kohan’s eldest son has died after an accident on a family skiing holiday.

Charlie Noxon, 20, is believed to have been injured during a fall in Park City, Utah, on New Year’s Eve and was airlifted to hospital but later pronounced dead.

He is the eldest son of television writer Ms Kohan who created the Netflix prison series as well as acclaimed comedy Weeds.

Charlie, who appeared in Weeds in 2008, is believed to have been on a family holiday with his father US journalist Christopher Noxon and siblings Eliza and Oscar when the accident took place.

Social media posts uploaded in the days before his accident show the family celebrating Christmas in the resort.

US officials said a post-mortem examination is yet to take place.
