Ambitious Charlie Nicholas wants former club Celtic to make a move for footballing icon Cesc Fabregas.
The former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea star is currently on the outside looking in at Monaco, making only five appearances during an injury-hit season.
But Nicholas believes the 34-year-old would be the perfect pass master to give Ange Postecoglou 's side a jolt coming out of the winter break.
The World Cup winner wouldn't come cheap, however, Nicholas reckons he compliment the Premiership title challengers, who have already signed Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi.
And Nicholas wants the legendary Spaniard to be joined by two more to address the "unbalanced" nature of Postecoglou's current squad.
Speaking in his Express column, he said: "I would like to see Celtic try to sign Cesc Fabregas.
"I spoke to Cesc last month when we were at an Arsenal game. He is still only 34 and he wants to keep playing for the next year or two.
"He is still fit as a flea but he isn't getting a game at Monaco.
"Celtic maybe couldn't afford his salary but perhaps they could come to an agreement with Monaco.
"I feel the team needs a Lubo Moravcik-type player and Cesc would be perfect. Celtic have been quick off the mark this month to sign Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi from the J-League.
"They are players Ange Postecoglou was well are of and he knows what they can bring to his squad.
"But if Postecoglou is looking for stardust then he should ask seriously consider making a move for Cesc, left.
"I would also like to see Celtic bring in another left-sided centre-half and a left-back.
"I still feel the team is unbalanced."
