Former Celtic star Charlie Nicholas has backed Rangers to see off Antwerp because "they know how to get results in Europe".
But the pundit believes they will have to avoid one of the Europa League's big guns if they are to better their run to the last 16 last season.
Steven Gerrard will be in confident mood ahead of the return leg with the Belgians after last week's bonkers 4-3 win on away soil.
Rangers are now the red-hot favourites to advance and Nicholas believes an extended run is perfect preparation ahead of their tilt at the Champions League next season.
The 59-year-old, speaking to the Express, said: "I fully expect Rangers to be gearing up for the last 16 of the Europa League for the second consecutive season.
"They made hard work of things out in Antwerp last week but they return to Ibrox on Thursday with a 4-3 advantage.
"It might be a lot tighter and might even be a draw but Steven Gerrard’s side will progress.
"Antwerp will need to come at Rangers and that will suit them to play on the counter attack.
"They might need to tighten up defensively but Gerrard and his coaching team have shown they know how to get results in Europe.
"After that it will come down to the luck of the draw to see if they can eclipse last season’s success.
"This campaign will also stand them in good stead when they step up into the Champions League next season."
