Charlie Brooks' real life with daughter Kiki as EastEnders return rumours swirl

Charlie Brooks is rumoured to be returning to EastEnders as iconic villain Janine Butcher.

While bosses are yet to confirm it, it's reported that Janine is heading back to Walford to stir things up on the BBC soap.

She caused plenty of chaos before leaving the show in 2014 - when she was seen boarding a train to Paris at London's St Pancras station - becoming the black widow of Albert Square after the untimely deaths of three of her four husbands.

But Charlie's real life couldn't be further from her character's.

Former I'm A Celebrity winner Charlie is a proud mum to Kiki, 16, who she shares with ex Tony Truman.

On Instagram, Charlie, 39, describes herself as "Mamma ,actress and much more to come, with a desire to know more about everything.."

She's been in the spotlight for a long time, but Charlie is relatively private when it comes to her personal life.

She rarely posts snaps of her daughter, but she treats her fans to a little sneak peek into her life every now and again, with snaps of her adorable sausage dog, stunning selfies and fun videos.

Charlie recently shared a sweet old home movie of Kiki dancing around the bedroom as she shared her disbelief at how quickly her baby was growing up.

She penned: "Kiki. Super girl.

"Sometimes I get this video out because it makes me very happy. Sometimes it makes me cry. That little person is very nearly all grown up, and I miss my baby, but coming through the other side of teenage years,(thank f**k), and they can be tough, and interesting and terrifying and unpredictable, I have a young woman who brings me ALL the joy.

"I am so proud of you @kikitruman . I want you around me all the time, I always want to hear your thoughts, and dreams and fears, and I am so happy to be holding your hand through life. I got you baby. I think you rock."

Kiki is even following in her mum's footsteps by pursuing an acting career.

She has two TV credits listed on IMDB so far, appearing in The Dumping Ground and The Kennedys.

Charlie is all about holding up other women too. She often shares posts celebrating her womanhood and encouraging others to do the same.

She marked International Women's Day this year by sharing a powerful message with her fans.

She wrote: "Hands up if you won’t be put in a box!! #challangetochange #internationalwomensday

"I am an actress, I am an entrepreneur, I am a mother, I am a lover, I read and I listen, i love and I cry, I run, I nap, I’m loud and I’m quiet, I’m a mentor, a student and sometimes I just don’t know..

"I will be whatever and whoever I want to be, sometimes I’ll do it well, sometimes I won’t, but I will always do it with kindness and joy. Be curious ladies..

"Don’t stay in the box."

Last year, the mother-daughter duo recreated one of Charlie's iconic scenes from EastEnders.

In an incredible TikTok video, they acted out the scene in which Janine murdered her husband Barry Evans, with Kiki playing famous character Barry.

It was reported last night that Charlie was coming back to EastEnders.

A source told The Sun : "Bosses have a huge story planned for Charlie’s return.

"They are keeping tight-lipped about whether Janine will come back as a reformed character after all the chaos she has caused in the past.

"But she certainly has a lot of history in Albert Square so whether she will be welcomed back with open arms or not remains to be seen."

EastEnders declined to comment when approached by the Mirror.

Charlie actually said in 2018 that she could be tempted back to Albert Square.

She told the Daily Star at the time: "Who knows what the future holds and I'd never say never.

"I loved playing Janine. I always think about what she could be up to, what might she be doing."

Since leaving the soap, Charlie has appeared in TV shows Suspects, Moving On, and The Dumping Ground just like her daughter.

She also had a role in short film FOG last year.
