Charlie Brooker teases new Black Mirror Death To 2020 episode coming to Netflix

Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker has teased a new 2020-themed episode of his dystopian show.

Named Death To 2020, showrunner Brooker announced the new episode by posting a teaser video to his Twitter account.

Fast-moving text reads: "2020. Even the creators of Black Mirror couldn’t make this year up. But they do have something to add."

The teaser gives no hint as to the plot of the episode, featuring instead flashing images of polka dots and blurred graphics.

The title Death To 2020 is presented onscreen before the brief clip ends with the Netflix logo and the words "coming soon".

Brooker recently gave an update on when fans can expect the sixth run of the show.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Brooker said: "I've been busy, doing things. I don’t know what I can say about what I’m doing and not doing.

"At the moment, I don’t know what stomach there would be for stories about societies falling apart, so I’m not working away on one of those.

"I'm sort of keen to revisit my comic skill set, so I've been writing scripts aimed at making myself laugh."

Brooker created the Emmy-winning science fiction series, inspired by anthology shows such as The Twilight Zone.

Stars such as Miley Cyrus, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jon Hamm, Marvel's Letitia Wright and Us actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II have all made appearances in episodes.
