A 21-year-old man who vanished on a night out has been found dead in a river.

Charlie Allan was last seen walking alone in Wincolmlee, Hull, after leaving a nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Humberside Police have been searching for him since.

Officers confirmed the discovery was made this afternoon in the Humber, a one-mile walk from the club called Spiders.

Superintendent Matthew Peach said: “Our thoughts are with Charlie’s family who have been informed. Officers continue to support them and they have asked for their privacy to please be respected at this difficult time.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of Charlie’s death are continuing however at this stage we do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances.”
