Charlie Adam predicts Alfredo Morelos cut-price Rangers exit as Ibrox hero pleads with former club to 'move on'

Unconvinced Charlie Adam reckons Rangers should sell Alfredo Morelos if they receive any offer between £8m and £12m.

Lille have been involved in discussions over the Colombian international although the Ibrox club insist talks are no longer active.

Managing director Stewart Robertson has been open about what it will take to wrest Morelos from Glasgow, pinpointing a fee of £20m as the likely price.

But Adam thinks that the pandemic has changed the likely money on offer and Steven Gerrard 's should accept a lower fee and "move on".

Adam told the BBC : “I would get rid of him. If the money comes for him, I’d get rid of him now.

“Due to Covid, I think anything between £8m-£12m and you’ve got to take it.

“You’re not going to get £15m or £20m, so anything between £8m and £12m you’ve got to take it and move on.

“I know he’s their best player, but you’ve got to remember the market at the moment.

“Sometimes you’ve just got to swallow a bit of it,or bite the bullet and go with him again.

“He scores goals but it’s the other side of his game you worry about.”
