Charlie Adam has agreed a new contract at Stoke City. The 29-year-old Scotland international, who signed a four-year deal when he joined the club from Liverpool in summer 2012, revealed the news of his extension on Twitter. Adam posted: “Delighted to have signed a new contract with @stokecity.”
After Stoke finished in ninth last season with a record 54 points, Mark Hughes is expected to sign “one or two” new players, according to the chief executive, Tony Scholes. They have already secured the services of the Spain Under-21 striker Joselu from Hannover.
