An emotional Charlie Adam has announced he will leave Stoke City this summer and is set to become a free agent.
The former Rangers star will join Scotland team-mate Darren Fletcher on the market this summer revealed he already has "a number of opportunities" coming his way.
The 33-year-old made 14 appearances for the Potters this season and there was initially speculation he would leave back in January.
But he's carried on until the end of the campaign and ultimately the end of his contract with the English Championship side.
The departures of Adam and Fletcher is likely to spark Scottish Premiership clubs into life ahead of the transfer window.
Adam wrote on Twitter: "Following talks with the manager today it's with a heavy heart I can confirm I will be leaving Stoke after seven unbelievable years at the club.
"During my time we have enjoyed some incredible highs, most notably finishing a club record 9th in the Premier League three years running. There were also countless memorable goals along the way.
"I'd like to thank everyone at the club for all they have done for me, especially the supporters - you make the club special. I look forward to saying goodbye to you all properly on Sunday.
"Hopefully Stoke city will soon be where it belongs in the Premier League.
"As for the future, I'm ready for a fresh challenge and to be back playing regularly again at the highest level. I have a number of opportunities and am now looking forward to the next chapter of my career."
