ConBRATulations are in order for Charli xcx, who has officially tied the knot with The 1975 drummer George Daniel during an intimate ceremony in London overnight.
The musician pair completed their nuptials in Hackney Town Hall, with photos shared on social media showing them posing with family outside the municipal building.
Charli kept things gloriously bratty with a white Vivienne Westwood mini dress, traditional veil and a chic white bouquet. Naturally, she also briefly wore her trademark black sunglasses.
According to reports, only about 20 close friends and loved ones were in attendance at the low key ceremony, with all of Daniel’s The 1975 bandmates present except for frontman Matty Healy.
While guitarists Adam Hann and Ross MacDonald were spotted at the event, Healy was noticeably absent, with sources later confirming to Page Six that the singer had to miss the ceremony to be alongside his fiancée and “360” music video star Gabbriette Bechtel to prepare for the release of her debut movie in LA.
Despite his absence, sources confirmed that Healy — who has shared a few headlines with Charli in the past — did attend Daniel’s bucks party in Ibiza earlier this week.
Also seen in the post-nuptial snaps was Charli’s parents, Jon and Shameera Aitchison.
Taking to social media to celebrate, Charli shared a TikTok video of herself strutting in her wedding dress soundtracked by the Lorde-assisted remix of “Girl, so confusing”.
Fellow musician Tinashe, who collaborated with Charli on the remixed “B2b”, was among those to send well-wishes in the comments, as well as Terrence O’Connor, who served as a creative director for the Brat album rollout.
Charli announced her engagement to Daniel with an Instagram post back in November 2023, sharing a photo of herself kissing The 1975 drummer with the caption “Charli xcx and George Daniel fucking for life!!!”.
Word’s still out on whether a newlywed Charli will now transition from brat to bride summer, but I’m guessing she won’t hang up those black sunglasses anytime soon.
