Charli XCX and her fiancé George Daniel reportedly want to have an extravagant wedding on an Italian island.
The Brat singer, 32, and The 1975 drummer, 35, announced their engagement in 2023 after a year of dating.
It is believed the couple are planning to spend close to six figures throwing a “mesmerising” wedding in Sicily for their friends and family.
“Charli and George fell in love with Sicily and knew they wanted to get married there,” a source told The Sun.
“It's incredibly secluded and romantic. There will be no expense spared.; it's costing tens of thousands of pounds and visually it will be mesmerising.”
The insider said the duo want to have a “massive party” with a bar that’s open all night.
Both stars are said to be busy until mid August, which is when they are reportedly going to focus on planning their nuptials.
The Standard has contacted the stars’ representatives for comment.
Charli - who performed at Glastonbury last month - previously said the couple just wants to “have a party with our friends” and aren’t interested in a traditional ceremony.
“We're both very chill and we kind of just want to have a party,” the Apple singer told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year.
“Neither of us are particularly formal about marriage or care about the formalities of the ceremony or whatever. We just want to be together forever and have a party with our friends.”
Charli - whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison - announced her engagement to Daniel in November 2023, writing on Instagram: “charli xcx and george f***ing for life!”
The singer shared a photo of herself and Daniel kissing with their arms wrapped around each other. She also posted a snap of her diamond engagement ring in a box between two cups of tea.
The couple reportedly met at an awards event in 2019, where they were seen posing together with other stars.
The musicians then worked together on the No Rome song Spinning, released in 2021, and again on Charli’s 2022 album, Crash.
She publicly announced their romance in May 2022.
The 360 hitmaker has sung about Daniel on her mega-hit album, Brat, specifically the track, Talk Talk.
Fans also think her songs Welcome to My Island (Remix) and Everything Is Romantic were inspired by the drummer.
