Charley Webb shares fears for son wanting to follow her and Matthew Wolfenden's careers

Emmerdale's Charley Webb has shared her fears that her children may want to follow in her and Matthew Wolfenden 's acting careers.

The pair have three sons together three young sons, Buster, 11, Bowie, five, and Ace, two and Charley didn't rule out having a fourth child in a recent Q&A.

The mum often updates her followers on her life with three children by posting realistic videos and photos to her Instagram page.

Recently she shared that her youngest son Ace drew all over her walls.

On her Instagram stories she said: "So, my Tuesday did not start very well, as you saw because Ace drew all over the wall. He's got this thing about drawing on the walls, tables, himself, just anywhere apart from the paper basically."

Charley and Matthew met on the set of the ITV soap where they both worked and started dating back in 2007.

The pair got engaged on Christmas day in 2009 and tied the knot in 2018.

Charley updated us on her family life including her three boys:

Hi Charley. How is Buster settling in at high school?

He’s taking it in his stride but it’s a huge change. His old primary school, where Bowie goes now, is gorgeous. It’s such a nurturing environment, so Buster had to become a mini adult overnight for high school. I think we forget he’s only 11,
he’s still a baby really.

What do you think of him following you and your hubby Matthew Wolfenden into the entertainment industry?

I’ve always been very honest with Buster that it’s not an easy industry and it’s not the industry I would choose for my children. But at the same time, you have to let them do what they want. We just have to guide him. It was in my blood, I knew I wanted to be an actress since I was eight so it would be cruel to prevent him following his dreams.

Do you think your younger sons Bowie and Ace will follow?

Bowie’s not interested in acting, singing or dancing in the slightest – he’s quite shy. Ace is too young for us to know, but they’re all great. My house is very loud. I go to their friends’ houses and they’re much more controlled than mine!

How is Bowie doing at school?

He’s just gone into year one – he’s making his little friendships and it’s good for him. The social side is amazing for them and they need that as children.

Why is it so important for you to support McDonald’s Plan For Change?

I have three young children, so for me it’s all about their future and their children’s futures. It’s important that we teach them the little changes they can make. As adults, we sometimes find the conversation around climate change quite complicated, so we tend to keep it among ourselves – but it’s key to involve children, as they’re the ones who can help make a real difference.
