Charley Webb's adorable first appearance since birth of third child with Matthew Wolfenden

Charley Webb made her first appearance since the birth of her third child - and it was absolutely adorable.

The Emmerdale actress posed up with her handsome sons Buster, nine, and Bowie, three, as she backed the McDonald’s Happy Readers campaign.

Charley, who welcomed baby Ace with husband Matthew Wolfenden in July, spent some quality family time with her kids as she read them a David Walliams book.

The star, who plays Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap, is lending her star power to the campaign, which was started following research by the National Literacy Trust that found almost a fifth of children aged five to eight don’t have any books of their own.

The McDonald’s Happy Readers campaign aims to increase book ownership amongst children and support families reading together.

To kick things off, they're offering Walliams bestseller The World's Worst Children free in every Happy Meal.

Charley said: "I think the Happy Readers scheme is brilliant. It is incredibly important young children are encouraged to read for their own mental health, as it provides them with an opportunity to relax and wind down with their loved ones.

"My kids love the World’s Worst Children stories, particularly Buster who adores Vain Valentine where the main character’s vain eccentricities leave us both in hysterics. As a family, we love to read together, and always make time for a bedtime story."

Meanwhile, Charley's brother Jamie Lomas has been embroiled in drama following the TV Choice Awards, when Emmerdale's Asan N'Jie threatened to kill him.

N'Jie has been sacked and Jamie is yet to comment. Today, he ignored the drama and headed out for a reunion with his former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! campmates.

* The McDonald’s Happy Readers promotion launches on Wednesday, September 11 and will run over five weeks, with one book given away with each The World of David Walliams Happy Meal until October 15 (from 10.30am) - subject to availability.
