Charley Webb shares adorable family Christmas celebrations after quitting Emmerdale

Charley Webb has shared her family's adorable Christmas celebrations with a sweet video on Instagram of her children enjoying the big day.

The 33-year-old soap actress 'quit' her role in Emmerdale earlier this week amid her husband Matthew Wolfenden's 'race row', with it being reported that she would not be returning to her role after playing Debbie Dingle for the past 19 years.

In November, it emerged that Matthew and Isabel Hodgins became embroiled in claims that a mixed race actress' accent was mimicked.

Matthew's character, David Metcalfe, and Isabel's Victoria Barton were hastily written out of the show as the allegations were investigated.

Amid this, a source told The Sun: "Charley is closing the door on Emmerdale for good and won’t be going back."

This was all put behind Charley and Matthew over the Christmas weekend as they showed their excited children as they opened presents and enjoyed the festivities.

The couple's three sons, Buster, 11, Bowie, five, and Ace, two, were full of Christmas spirit as they charged down the stairs and burst through paper that had been taped to the kitchen door, where the tree and presents were waiting.

The kids celebrated as they opened matching pyjamas, with Bowie and Ace dancing around with the garments as they threw them in the air.

Charley and Matthew are then seen bouncing around the kitchen and living room on a gift that their kids received, with much laughter and hilarity.

The soap actress said that she was "thinking of everyone" as she thanked her followers for their love on social media over the past year.

She wrote: "Christmas 2021 ♡ Thank you for everything this year, you guys are my favourite Instagram team. I love sharing things with you guys and all our little chats.

"I hope you all had the loveliest day and I’m thinking of everyone that may have had a harder day yesterday. Love you all lots."
