Charley Webb hits back at cruel mummy-shamers who criticise her parenting

Soap actress Charley Webb has hit back at trolls who have criticised her parenting online and revealed what she does to deal with it.

The Emmerdale star, 31, who plays Debbie Dingle, is married to co-star Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe, and they are parents to three boys.

She's opened up to OK! magazine about how proud she is of being a mum to her boys and revealed how she deals with mummy-shaming trolls.

She said: "Mainly I just block it out. I’m not really interested in what anyone else thinks. Everyone parents differently.

"Matthew and I are big on routines, but I won’t judge parents who aren’t."

The soap star added that just because she's on TV, it doesn't give the public the right to criticise her parenting skills.

She explained: "If you’re in the public eye people think they’ve got a right to say things to you. They don’t!

"These people comment just to get a response. I find that so bizarre and I don’t respond."

Charley also admitted she is a "very protective" mum to her three kids Buster, nine, Bowie Grey, three, and newborn baby Ace.

"I’m a very protective mum anyway. It’s an animal instinct. I’m constantly worrying about them," she shared.

The actress spoke about her complicated birth with Ace and said she has blocked a lot of the traumatic birth out.

Little Ace was born with the umbilical cord wrapped round his neck, which left him with difficulties with breathing at first.

However, mum Charley admitted she feels "lucky" to have gotten through.
