Charley Webb ditches Christmas dinner and says family will have curry instead

Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden aren't going for your typical Christmas dinner - they are having a huge curry instead.

The Emmerdale couple are shunning turkey and sprouts and say they're having something spicy in its place.

Charley and fellow actor Matthew have three kids Ace, two, Bowie, five and Buster, 11 and your regular festive feast is off the menu.

The actress revealed exactly what they'll be plating up on December 25 - and traditionalists will be horrified!

In a Q&A with fans on her Instagram Stories she was asked: "Will you be cooking Christmas dinner? and the unimpressed star replied: "Absolutely not.

"Also we have a curry on Christmas Day. I'm not a fan of turkey and we have a roast every Sunday so it makes sense."

Charley has been responding to fans questions about family life - despite Matthew's best efforts.

Matthew, who plays David Metcalfe in the ITV soap, swiped her phone out of her hand during a playful row in their car.

In an Instagram video filmed by Charley in the passenger seat, Matthew asked her: "Are you taking a picture or doing a video?"

In an Instagram video filmed by Charley in the passenger seat, Matthew asked her: "Are you taking a picture or doing a video?"

She replied: "It’s a video. How boring my life is."

Matthew grumbled: "Why are you always videoing me?! Always! You’re obsessed!"

Charley soon bit back: "Because you’ve taken us the wrong way!"

She set the record straight by adding a caption which told fans: "That ending was him swiping the phone out my hand."

Taking part in another Instagram Q&A with fans the actress shared a photo of her three children together with Buster cuddling up to his youngest brother, while Bowie hung on the bottom of his pram.

“I do love the chaos of lots of crazy kids, so maybe,” she wrote.
