Charles Harris helps prepare local youth for college life

Former first round pick Charles Harris may be struggling to find his footing on the football field but there’s no question he’s shining off of it. Harris took some time away from his training for a big 2019 season to help make a difference in the South Florida community.

Harris joined forces with Miami Gardens mayor Oliver Gilbert at Gilbert’s annual laptop giveaway to help set up high school seniors for success in life in college.

The Dolphins organization continues to be a strong presence in their local community. The team has now partaken in — or hosted — numerous charity events and public outreach events in the past month. This includes the donation of new football equipment to numerous local high schools, the Dolphins Cancer Challenge and now Harris’ contributions to Gilbert’s annual laptop giveaway.

For Charles Harris, may it be the first of many wins to come in 2019 — on and off the football field.
