Charles Bronson's marriage with ex-Corrie actress 'to be annulled' as they 'never had sex'

Charles Bronson's whirlwind marriage with Paula Williamson will be annulled as the pair have never had sex, according to reports.

The violent lifer, 66, tied the knot with the 38-year-old former Corrie actress after she visited him in jail on numerous occasions.

But the couple never had a chance to consummate their marriage behind bars - and Paula asked for it to be annulled on these grounds, The Sun reports.

She is now devastated after splitting from Bronson after five years.

They tied the knot on 2017 in a prison ceremony that Paula described as being "like any other wedding".

Paula said: "I have lost all my work because I married this man as well as family and friends.

"I don't believe in mistakes or regrets.

"Everything happens for a reason. I tried my very best for him and we will remain friends."

It previously emerged Bronson, 66, asked Paula to a wear a cat suit when she next visited him in prison.

It is believed the bizarre request caused a huge argument between the pair.

They also fell out a year ago when a man buried his head in Paula's breasts while she was on a wild night out in Tenerife.

A source said: "She was stunned when he got a friend to send round a cat suit and told her he wanted her to wear it for a prison visit. He loves showing his wife off. He'd want the other prisoners to see her in it. He'd really like that.

"But she's gone mad. She refused to do it. It's a very odd request. But it's the sort of man Charlie is. He replied by saying she was not welcome at an art show which is coming up."

"She's not bothered anymore. That's it. It's over - once and for all."

Bronson, one of the UK's most dangerous offenders, moved from HMP Frankland in Durham to HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes.

In April, he lodged an official complaint after being served up croquettes instead of chips on 'fish and chip Friday' at the new jail.

Prisoners are normally offered fish and chips with mushy peas on Fridays, a Christian tradition of not eating meat on Fridays which goes back centuries.

But Bronson - who has been in jail since 1974 - was left fuming after being served up croquettes instead of chips recently.

Writing to pal Rod Harrison, the 66-year-old - now called Charles Salvador - said he had "slammed in an official complaint" about the food at the Category A prison in Milton Keynes.
