Charles Barkley on LaVar Ball: ‘Keep him off TV, he’s an idiot’

There are few people more loud and outspoken than LaVar Ball. Charles Barkley, though, is one of the few that could challenge Ball in brashness and irrational confidence. Unfortunately for Ball, Barkley is not a fan of the Big Baller, something he’s made known in the past.

On Monday, TMZ caught up with Barkley at an airport to ask him about New Orleans and Ball’s recent ban from ESPN.

I don’t talk about LaVar Ball. No, I don’t talk about LaVar Ball. Wherever LaVar Ball is, there’s a village missing an idiot.

We should just keep LaVar off television. It’s really unfair to his son. His son is a good player and a nice kid. Just keep him off TV. He’s an idiot. It don’t matter. He’s an idiot in all 50 states. Not New Orleans, not Louisiana, not L.A. He’s an idiot in all 50 states.

LaVar and Barkley have gone back and forth in the past with both sides taking shots at one another. In this particular battle, it appears that Barkley is going to get the last laugh as Ball will likely be off-air for the foreseeable future.

Ball already did his victory lap at Fox Sports 1 prior to the Anthony Davis trade and likely won’t make a return trip so quickly. ESPN has banned him indefinitely so, save for some independent site interviewing him, Ball is left without an outlet to rant about.

This round goes to Barkley.
