Charles Barkley explains his questionable Stanley Cup Game 7 outfit

NBA legend Charles Barkley made a surprise appearance on NBC’s coverage of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals earlier this week – and viewers roasted Barkley on Twitter over his decision to wear two collared shirts

Barkley joined The Dan Patrick Show on Friday and explained the situation, saying that he expected it to be colder in the arena, but was forced to open up his shirt because it was so warm. Barkley also admitted that he didn’t care what he looked like at the time, as he had began pre-gaming hours before Game 7 and was “feeling good” while he was on-air.

“What happened was, you know, normally you go to hockey games it’s cold as hell. So I didn’t bring a t-shirt to wear under my light blue shirt, I only had a golf shirt with me. And unfortunately, when I got to the game, I have no idea why it was hot in the commissioner’s box. So they had to make a decision whether to take the golf shirt off… so I just opened it up.

I didn’t worry about it because I was feeling pretty – I was feeling some type of way. Because, you know, I had started drinking like two hours before the game, so I really wasn’t worried about my physical attire. I was feeling good.”
